Care on Your Terms
Considering adult circumcision or a related procedure is a personal decision, and it can be an awkward one to even ask about. It shouldn't be. Hamilton Adult Circumcision Clinic offers adult circumcision, frenulectomy, and evaluation and removal of benign genital lumps and bumps — performed under local anesthesia at a surgical center or under general anesthesia, depending on what's right for you.
Every consultation is private, respectful, and focused entirely on your situation.

Our Services
Surgical removal of the foreskin, performed for medical, functional, hygienic, or personal reasons. Available under local anesthesia at a surgical center, or under general anesthesia, based on your preference and clinical suitability.
Surgical removal of the frenulum — the band of tissue on the underside of the penis. Commonly performed for tightness (frenulum breve), discomfort, or tearing during intercourse.
Assessment and removal of benign (non-cancerous) lumps, bumps, and skin lesions in the genital area — for example, cysts, skin tags, and similar common benign growths.
Procedures can be performed under local anesthesia at a surgical center, or under general anesthesia, so your care can be matched to your comfort level and medical needs. We'll walk you through the best option for you at your consultation.
Experienced, Board-Certified Specialist Surgical Care
Your procedure is performed by a board-certified urologic and transplant surgeon in clinical practice in Hamilton for over five years, with more than ten years of medical training and experience. The surgeon holds an academic appointment as an Assistant Professor at McMaster University, completed a two-year surgical fellowship at Western University, and holds a Master's degree in Patient Safety and Healthcare Quality from Johns Hopkins University — reflecting a particular focus on safe, high-quality surgical care.
Many patients feel embarrassed raising these concerns. The approach here is to make the conversation as routine and judgment-free as any other medical visit, while applying the same surgical precision expected in complex urologic and transplant surgery.

Procedures are done under local anesthesia (the area is numbed and you're awake) or general anesthesia (you're fully asleep), depending on the procedure and your preference. We'll discuss which is right for you at your consultation.

Recovery varies by individual, but as a general guide: most men return to desk or office work within a few days, and to full daily activity within one to two weeks. Heavy lifting and strenuous exercise should be avoided for about two weeks, and sexual activity for about four to six weeks, which is also the typical window for full healing. If your procedure is done under general anesthesia, arrange for someone to accompany you home. Your specific recovery plan and aftercare instructions will be reviewed with you at your consultation.
